Riddles

I don't know what to put in this blog anymore. So, I'm just gonna put riddles, which I know the answers, but I won't state the the answers here. Can you answer them?

1) An iron horse with a flaxen tail. The faster the horse runs, the shorter its tail becomes.
    -Clue: Starts with an N, ends with an E.

2) This mother comes from a family of eight, supports her children in spite of their weight. Turns around without being called, has held you since the time you crawled.
    -Clue: Without it, we're nothing.

3) A woman shoots her husband, yhen holds him under water for five minutes. Finally, she hangs him. Five minutes later, they enjoyed a delicious dinner together. What has she done?
    -Clue: Instagram

4) I'm a six letter word. I did not exist, you wouldn't, either. With my first letter omitted I'm an alternative. My last three letters are feminine, while my first four letters is an insect.
    -Clue: Meron ka, meron ako, meron lahat ng tao.

5) How do you spell "hard water" using three letters?
    -Clue: eyes (kung matalino ka, gets mo 'to)

6) I am something many people don't enjoy having as a friend, including you. But I am called upon every time someone is injured.
    -Clue: Starts with P

7) A man says, "Brothers and sisters have I none, but that man's father is my father's son." Who is he pointing at?

8) I have an end but no beginning, a home without a family, a space but no room. I cannot speak but there's no word I can't make. What am I?
    -Clue: ASDFGHJKL

9) These begin your sentence and is a home for your leader.
    -Clue: Manila

10) I come with 4 holes, but when come out of me, you're still inside.
      -Clue: One of the basic needs

11) One word in this sentence is misspelled. What is it?

12) Your mother's brother's only brother-in-law is asleep on the couch. Who is asleep on the couch?
      -Clue: It can start with D, F, P in English, or T and A in Filipino

13) What's black when you get it, red when you use it, and white when you're all through it?
      -Clue: Fire;cooking

14) What goes up and down without moving?
      -Clue: Meron 'to sa may second floors, 3rd and so on

15) What can bring back the dead, make us cry, make us laugh, make us young, born in an instant, yet lasts a lifetime?
      -Clue: It's part of the past; reminisce

16) What belongs to you but others say it more than you do?
      -Clue: All of us have this

17) A father's child, a mother's child. Yet no one's son.
      -Clue: Examples are all the girls in the world

18) He has married a lot of women, but he has no wife.
      -Clue: Starts with P :-)
